Not a bad convention, I had a lot of fun. I was a bit disappointed 'cause I know I could have had waaaaay more fun had it not been for a few issues, but I still had a fantastic time.

Thursday came around and after staying up until like... 3am or something stupid like that the night before, we left around 1ish to head out. The drive was pretty good up until the cd player in the car refused to eject discs... after I had specificially set aside time to make lots of fantasterific cds to rock out to in the car... >.>

Friday!
First outfit of the day was Raven. I thought I was going to be a lonely Titan but ran in delight upon seeing a gorgeous Blackfire, wedding dress!Starfire, apprentice!Terra, demon!Raven and a Jinx. They were so so nice and I was glad to see the fandom still alive.

Later got changed into secret cosplay aka-

with ~TheFlyingGrayson as Castiel and ~Savvyxoxo as Dean and omg, so much fun was had. We stole a bunch of salt packets from the restaurants and were giving them out to people for protection if they recognized us.... we might have also thrown some at "demonic" looking cosplayers... so if you found salt on your shoes, it was probably us. It was great because ~TheFlyingGrayson was a sweetheartbiffle5-ever and surprised me with the magic Ruby knife for me to wield as Sam. We also happened to find a small jar of legit holy water in my car (don't ask lol) which we carried around as well.
I wasn't really sure if anyone was going to know who we were, but a lot of people ended up coming up to us, it was great! More pics and stupid videos will be posted soon.

Saturday!
Uhhhh, oh yeah, I was Axel first with ~meowzii as Demyx, TheFlyingGrayson as 3D Sora and Savvyxoxo as 3D Riku. Derped around for a while before I decided I was sick of sweating my soul away in that coat.

Changed into Kneesocks and was extremely flattered by all the compliments and photo requests. Seriously, if I wasn't already painted red... well, I was probably very red under all that makeup X3
All the good feels. It was kind of funny 'cause I really wanted photos and Savvyxoxo was kind enough to give me a shoot in our hotel lobby ('cause it had this awesome lounge with fire inside glass and... it was cool).
....oh jeeze, I don't know where people came from, but I felt so embarrassed when other con-goers showed up with me posing like a victoria's secret model, as Savvy put it. ahh, I'm not a street-walker, I swear! lol

Oh! We also stopped by the Travis Willingham panel and I got some footage. I love that man, he's so entertaining.

Let's see, after that we changed into Sherlock I believe. TheFlyingGrayson was of course my faithful Watson, Savvyxoxo was civilian/gay green boxers Moriarty lol, and meowzii joined as as last-minute-but-best-decision-ever Moran.
I think our night together was probably the most memorable experience of my Acen adventure. We walked to McDonald's and just, hooomahgoodness, I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while. More video derp to follow.

We ended the night with a Sherlock shoot and got some amazing photos thanks to Savvyxoxo and her talented self. I'm so happy, I got photos of nearly all of my costumes this weekend and, ahhh, I just, yay! I have something to post!!! hahaha

I took a bunch of videos so I'll edit them together soon when I get the chance. Next week is my last week of school (for like, ever) and then graduation, so I'm going to wait until then. I'm a bit stressed at the moment trying to finish my final film especially since the editing lab has been out of commission since Thursday and it's still not up and running.

Anyways, Acen was amazing. I made some great new friends, saw some awesome familiar faces and I'm just so happy to say that I have now FINALLY been to Chicago lol

next con? possibly Natsucon but for sure SUPERNATURAL CONVENTION IN CHICAGO IN OCTOBER!!!!!!!

I'm a St. Louis nerd studying Film Production and Photography, though I'm passionate about many forms of art. I cosplay because I think it's an awesome hobby and if anyone ever asked, I'd say my favorite part about it is entertaining people. Why? I love to make people laugh.
Passion and inspiration are the tools of my trade. I've got big dreams and I plan to see them through. What I hate more than anything is seeing someone else just give up or whine about something but never actually do anything to solve the problem or reach their goal.
